TRG | The Bottom Line – 9/16
With Labor Day weekend behind us, school is back in session and everyone is heading back to work. The big question remains is how many employees will actually go back o the office now that the world is feeling “somewhat” normal. Kastle System’s Back to Work Barometer reflects swipes of Kastle access controls from the top 10 cities, averaged weekly. Kastle customers are in more than 2,600 buildings in 138 cities. The latest report released earlier this week shows that in the 10 largest business districts, only 43.4% have returned to the office compared to pre-COVID levels, a decrease from 43.8% in the previous week. Regional differences remain striking: While 54.4% of employees have returned to the office in the Houston Metro Area, only 38.4% and 38.0% of employees have returned to the office in the San Francisco and New York Metro markets. What about the center of the U.S. political universe? The Washington D.C. Metro Area, for the first time, is somewhere in the middle at 40.0%.
